if i leave 15-20 minutes early, i am guaranteed a seat; otherwise, i am vigilant at 4th ave or jay st. for exiting passengers. air usually ok. |

Worst safety problem - locked doors between cars. In case of emergency, no communication with conductor! Esp. bad when stuck in tunnel (frequent) AM: crowding, you can get crunched by closing doors; the lack of places to hold on, risk of falls. PM commute and late night - some smelly homeless guys (look dangerous but actually they just lie there). |
