Since 1959 the neighborhood has known Jack’s Hairstyling, located just west of First Avenue on 68th Street, right across the street from St. Catherine’s park and playground.
The shop is an old and favorite institution which has survived the influx of so many trendy hair salons. It is frequented by very loyal local residents, hospital employees, policemen, etc.
The shop now bears the name Eddie’s Haircut & Shave, and is committed to maintaining the friendly neighborhood tradition.
