Description: Edison Park Lutheran Church of Chicago has been ministering in the Edison Park neighborhood, on the city's northwest side--next door to Park Ridge--for over 80 years. We are just two blocks south of Northwest Highway, across Monument Park from the Metra Station. A community in Christ of about 1000 people, we invite all people the opportunity to live, love and serve our community with us. Our congregation recognizes that Jesus Christ is present in Word and Sacrament, and we know that we receive faith and power for mission from the Holy Spirit, as we strive to be faithful in serving God in all aspects of life. We work in partnership with the Metropolitan Chicago Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We offer dynamic programs for children, youth and family, and ministry for all ages, and many opportunities to grow. A complete listing is on our website.A range of styles in worship is offered Saturday 4:30 p.m., Sunday 8:00, 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. The Lord's Supper is generally offered at each service; mid-week worship services during Lent; and opportunities to learn the Word of God in greater depth through various adult education programs, Sunday School classes, and confirmation classes, as well as Vacation Bible School, Fine Arts Boot Camp and more.
