HopStop Data Reveals Top Urban Travel Trends
We hear more and more about the “on-the-go” consumer, but how exactly are they getting from point A to point B, and what are their travel practices? HopStop, the leading provider of pedestrian navigation and mobile transit routing, has developed its first Urban Travel Patterns infographic to shed light on these activities. Based on more than 400 million HopStop routes and 2.25 billion miles traveled, the new data showcases major travel trends in several large cities, as well as how consumers are using HopStop’s online and mobile services to get around town. The findings show how today’s urban traveler uses multiple modes of transportation, and stays both healthy and environmentally-friendly when doing so. For ongoing updates on these daily activities, www.hopstop.com now also features a real-time stats counter that tracks the total miles traveled, calories burned, and CO2 saved by its users each day.
How do you travel within and around major cities? Let us know in the comments!
