Check out some of the new features of HopStop's enhanced search experience

Clean and Simplified Address Input |
NYC Area Search
Other Areas Search |
We’ve simplified our search experience to make using HopStop even easier!
Some new features that we’ve added are market-to-market search capability and using the current location of your computer as the starting or ending address.
In New York City, we've retained the borough drop-down so that NYC residents and visitors only need to type-in a street address and choose the appropriate borough. For all other areas, we've introduced a free-form search experience that can interpret many different address inputs.

Improved Address Recognition |
Our new search box will recognize addresses even better than before. We now support multiple search inputs including addresses, intersections, X/Y’s and places-of-interest (POI’s).
Example of the types of search inputs we can support:
- 162 Madison Ave
- 162 Madison Ave, New York, NY
- 162 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10016
- Times Square
- E 33rd and 5th Ave
If we by chance can’t determine the address for which you’re looking, we’ll present you with multiple options that are similar (or are in close proximity) to your original input.
Previously Used Address and MyHopStop Integration |
The previously used address functionality has been merged with your MyHopStop address book to allow for easy and streamlined retrieval of your most commonly used addresses.
Enhanced Map Capabilities |
If you don’t know the exact address, you can find a location on a map for your address input. But we’ve also added a new special feature called “Use Current Location” to help improve your search experience.
If your browser supports “Use Current Location” functionality, you’ll be able to use the current location of your computer to start a HopStop search (by clicking on the Current Location Tab, and clicking “Allow” when asked “The website http://www.hopstop.com would like to use your current location.”)

Streamlined Walking/Transfer Preferences |
Now it’s even easier to set your trip preferences. If you prefer to have fewer transfers (and more walking) in your route, then select “Minimize Transfers”. But if you’d prefer to have more transfers (and less walking) in your route, then select “Minimize Walking”.
Reverse Trip Feature |
Another new feature we have introduced is reverse trip functionality. Now, you can easily get directions for your return trip. Either click the "reverse" button at the top of the results page or click the "Reverse Trip?" link at the bottom of the results page.
