How We May Collect Other Information

We, our affiliates and our third party service providers (such as Parse and Flurry) may collect Other Information in a variety of ways, including:

  • Through your browser or device: Certain information is collected by our Website, most browsers or automatically through your device, such as your Media Access Control (MAC) address, computer type (Windows or Macintosh), screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, region, language, Internet browser type, wireless carrier and version and the name and version of the Services (such as the App) you are using. We use this information to ensure that the Services function properly.
  • Through your use of Services: When you download and use any of our Services we and our service providers may track, collect and process Services usage data, such as the date and time the Services access our servers, what information and files have been downloaded based on your device number, your planned and selected trips, and errors you have encountered. You may opt out of the collection of such information by our analytics service providers, such as Flurry by going to http://www.flurry.com/user-opt-out.html. We may also detect what other transportation Apps you have installed on your device to personalize your experience in the App by showing services that may be of interest to you.
  • Using cookies and other technologies: Cookies are pieces of information stored directly on the computer that you are using. Web beacons are electronic images that can recognize certain types of information on your computer. Cookies and web beacons allow us and our service providers to collect information such as browser type, time spent on the Services, pages visited, language preferences and other anonymous traffic data. We and our service providers use the information for security purposes, to facilitate navigation, display information more effectively, and to personalize your experience while using the Services. We also gather statistical information about the use of the Services in order to continually improve their design and functionality, understand how they are used and to assist us with resolving questions regarding them.

We may combine the location of your device with your Personal Information if you report a functionality error to us.
  • From you: Information, such as your preferred means of communication, is collected when you voluntarily provide it. Unless combined with Personal Information, it does not personally identify you.
  • By aggregating information: Aggregated Personal Information does not personally identify you or any other user (for example, we may aggregate Personal Information to calculate the percentage of our users who have a particular telephone area code).

We and our affiliates may use and disclose Other Information for any purpose, except where we are required to do otherwise under applicable law. If we are required to treat Other Information as Personal Information under applicable law, then we may use it as described in “How We May Collect Other Information” section above, as well as for all the purposes for which we use and disclose Personal Information.

In some instances, we may combine Other Information with Personal Information. If we do, we will treat the combined information as Personal Information as long as it is combined.

THIRD PARTY SERVICES

This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information or other practices of any third parties, including any third party operating any site or service to which the Services link. The inclusion of a link on the Services does not imply endorsement of the linked site or service by us or by our affiliates.

In addition, we are not responsible for the collection, use and disclosure policies and practices (including the data security practices) of other organizations, such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, RIM or any other app developer, app provider, operating system provider, wireless service provider or device manufacturer, including for any Personal Information you disclose to other organizations through or in connection with the Apps.

SECURITY

We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect Personal Information within our organization. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. USE OF SERVICES BY MINORS

The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of thirteen (13), and we request that these individuals do not provide Personal Information through the Services.

JURISDICTION

The Services are controlled and operated by us from the United States and are not intended to subject us to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than that of the United States.

SENSITIVE INFORMATION

HOPSTOP.COM'S CALIFORNIA DO NOT TRACK NOTICE

Hopstop.com does not track its customers over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. However, some third party sites do keep track of your browsing activities when they serve you content, which enables them to tailor what they present to you. If you are visiting such sites, Safari allows you to set the DNT signal on your browser so that third parties (particularly advertisers) know you do not want to be tracked.
